The plantation is located in the shade of tropical rainforest at an elevation of 1900-2000 meters, with an annual rainfall of 2000mm and an annual average temperature of 13-25o C. The reddish-brown soil is fertile and provides excellent coffee.

Limmu coffee is considered a premium gourmet coffee with its particular terroir and diversity. The coffee brew offers a smooth mouthfeel with bright floral notes. It’s balanced, sweet, mildly spicy, and has lovely wine-like qualities. Floral and stone fruit aromas may also be found in certain Limmu coffee. Washed Limu coffee is considered one of Ethiopia’s best highland-grown coffees. 

Coffee Processing 

Limmu is known for its high-quality washed and dry-processed coffee. It also has a reputation for cultivating superior coffee, owing to higher agricultural conditions and processing, well-established plantations, and a large number of washing stations.
